NUS-ISS – A renewed campus shaped for collaborative and future-ready learning.
The National University of Singapore’s Institute of Systems Science (NUS-ISS) at Heng Mui Keng Terrace was comprehensively expanded and transformed to meet the needs of its growing community of digital professionals and learners. The redevelopment added a new storey to the existing five-storey building and significantly increased the institute’s usable space, creating new classrooms, collaborative learning environments, staff offices, student areas and supporting facilities.
Conceived as a dynamic and forward-looking learning environment, the renewed campus incorporates smart and energy-efficient features alongside a distinctive contemporary architectural expression. RVD contributed to the building envelope through the design, supply and installation of acid-etched, off-white Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) cladding, including curved façade elements that wrap around the building and reinforce its flowing architectural form.
