First fully concrete PPVC hotel constructed in Singapore.
The Mercure Icon Hotel is the first fully concrete Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) hotel constructed in Singapore with 65% of its 989 rooms built using the PPVC method. Modular concrete carcasses are fabricated in Malaysia before being delivered to Tuas for interior, curtainwall and MEP services fit out. These units are then stacked like Lego-blocks on site after quality checks and inspections.
